Gilsson Portable Beanbag Mount is a great base to mount your Garmin, Magellan, Mio, TomTom, Mio, Lowrance, Motorola, Apple iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, Cell Phone, MP3 or other portable electronics devices. This beanbag weighs almost 2 pounds, just heavy enough to make sure your electronic device stay at the same place despite of sudden or abrupt maneuvering. We tested it in various sedans and sports cars and found our beanbag mount very stable and works great. This is a must for California and Minnesota drivers where state laws prohibit the use of windshield suction cup mount. Please note this beanbag mount requires the use of a fixed marine, dashboard or suction cup pedestal (such as Gilsson Universal Suction Cup Mount and Universal Holder), so your existing fixed marine, dashboard or suction cup pedestal can be secured to the detachable plate on our beanbag mount base. This is portable mount is also great, because it does not leave any ugly adhesive residues on your dashboard and allows you to hide the GPS from thieves when exiting your vehicle. This beanbag mount is similar to Garmin 010-10908-00 and 010-10306-00 Friction Portable Beanbag Mount. We challenge you to compare: Our beanbag mount is more stable than Garmin and other brands, due to our design/construction, with wider and heavier perimeter. Please note, this item is the portable beanbag mount at the bottom and does not include the suction cup pedestal and the universal GPS holder nor the GPS themselves. Those items are included in the 2nd and 3rd pictures for illustration purposes only.
Customer Review: Bean Bag for GPS
Outstanding for mounting my GPS unit. Stays where it's laid. Allows for most appropriate location for GPS unit. It's great.
Customer Review: Perfect Fit, Stays Put, Did require to use my stick disc.
Great. The square shape fits perfectly in the square inlay of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has a firm friction grip and doesn't tip over from the wight of my TomTom One XL (which is a large gps). The only thing with the product is that the suction cup from my TomTom usually has a firm suction to the windshield but did not stick well to this bean bag mount. I used the plastic adhesive disk that came with my TomTom and stuck it to this mount and now the suction cup holds perfectly.
